388 Pueblos is an open, free project. For the beta, we only store what is strictly necessary to keep you informed about the project. We do not sell your data or pass it on to anyone, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

What data we store and why
- Waiting list: your email and, if you enter them, your alias, your town and your profile (player, creator, town council…). We use them only to let you know about the beta, about news and about when your town wakes up.
- Votes to wake towns up: the town you vote for, linked to a random identifier of your device (not to your name or your email). It is used to count one vote per person.
- Stamp passport: stored only on your device (your browser’s local storage). It is not sent to any server.
The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form and which you can withdraw at any time.
Minors
If you are under 14, your mother, father or legal guardian must sign you up (article 7 of Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on data protection, LOPDGDD).
Where it is stored
The waiting list and the votes are stored in a private Google spreadsheet (Google Workspace) or on our server, hosted on Render. Google and Render act as data processors and may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and the Guareña game is served from GitHub Pages; those services receive your IP address when they are downloaded, as with any website.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it or the project ceases to exist. If you unsubscribe, we delete your email from the list.
Your rights
You can request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of or objection to its processing, and its portability, by writing to the contact above. If you believe we have not dealt with them properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) (aepd.es).
